Each of our rare breed sheepskins is completely individual, with its own shape, texture and natural colouring. The rug comes from sheep raised in New Zealand and reflects the variety and beauty of these rare breeds.

The wool is not dyed or treated with artificial colours. Its tones and markings are entirely natural, just as it grew. The pile is thick, soft and full of character, making each rug a tactile and visual statement.

Every sheepskin is finished by hand. This is a one of a kind piece and you will receive the exact rug shown.

Our British rare breed rugs are made entirely in the UK — from native sheep to traditional tanning in the Yorkshire Dales — at the last remaining commercial sheepskin tannery in Britain.

Unlike many so-called ‘British’ rugs tanned overseas, ours offer full traceability and true local craftsmanship. Undyed and naturally varied, each rug reflects the rich character of over 50 native breeds.
