Our British Rare Breed Sheepskins are as beautiful as they are unique. Tanned entirely by hand in North Yorkshire from British sheep, each sheepskin boast natural tones and a luxurious thick pile.
The sheepskins aren’t dyed, so the colour of each rug is absolutely natural. The size and shape of each rug may also be a little different, not just because of the individual size of each sheep, but because all of our rugs are hand finished by Richard (pictured who has worked in the British wool and sheepskin industry since the 1960s).
This is the exact sheepskin rug you will receive.

An Entirely British Rug
Our British sheepskin rugs are from British sheep and tanned in the Yorkshire Dales by a 3rd generation family business family who have been working in the wool industry since the 1960’s.
Each and every rug is still to this day hand finished by Richard (pictured here) who is now in his mid 80’s. Each sheepskin is entirely natural and has been draw from over fifty British breeds of white or naturally coloured sheep.
Sadly, most British rugs to this day are from British sheep but tanned overseas in mainland Europe. We are incredibly proud to work with the last remaining British commercial sheepskin tannery ensuring that our rugs are entirely British made and tanned.
