Days to Make

From the heart of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, our Berber rugs embody a story of craftsmanship, heritage, and sustainability. Handwoven often by 2nd or 3rd generation women artisans, each rug is a one of a kind masterpiece and created using Africa's first carbon negative yarns. This wool, hand-spun with care, is dyed with natural pigments from local plants and minerals, producing the vibrant earthy tones that reflect the Moroccan landscape. Every pattern and symbol in the rug carries the stories, traditions, and cultural expressions passed down through generations of Berber weavers.

We are committed to preserving these age-old traditions while supporting the artisans who bring them to life. By partnering directly with local cooperatives, we ensure that the women who create these works of art are fairly compensated with each rug priced by the artisan themselves. Each rug is not just a beautiful addition to your home, but a symbol of heritage, sustainability, and the empowerment of the artisans who continue this ancient craft.

  • Size: L:215cm (85") x W:120cm (47")

At the heart of our philosophy is a commitment to transparent pricing and supporting fair compensation for artisans. Traditionally, Moroccan artisans receive as little as 4% of a rug’s sale price, a disheartening reality that led many to abandon their craft. The majority of our Berber rugs take between 20 - 40 days to make.

By partnering directly with cooperatives in Morocco, we ensure that the skilled women who weave each rug set their own prices, giving them full control over the value of their work. This approach not only safeguards the rich heritage of Berber weaving but also promotes sustainable growth, empowering these artisans to earn a good income while preserving their cultural traditions.

Our Berber rugs are ready to despatch from our studio in Morocco. If you would like a custom request such as a certain colour or size amendment we would be delighted to help organise this for you. Our Delivery timelines are below:

To care for your Berber rug, vacuum or shake it regularly to remove dirt and debris, as wool is naturally resistant to stains and dust. Its durable, handwoven fibres ensure resilience against heavy foot traffic, maintaining the rug's shape and texture. For deeper cleaning, occasional professional care may be needed. With proper maintenance, your Berber rug will not only retain its beauty and comfort but also develop a unique patina, becoming a treasured piece for generations.

We are helping create Africa's first carbon negative yarn. We offset every kg of carbon consumed for the future. We're researching and developing the ability to sequester carbon in the same areas we source our wool. The better care we can take of our land, the better quality wool we can provide to you.

If you need any information, have a special request, or have an idea you'd like to bring to life, we're here to help make it happen!

The Artisan Collective in Marmoucha

Located in the heart of the Atlas Mountains where the famous Beni Ourain tribe once lived. Generations later, the artisan group is carrying the tradition forward with beautiful Beni Ourain rugs, pile knots, and flat weave rugs.

Formed in 2016, it is an up and coming collective with 13 women that hand weave every Berber rug in their home that have perfected their craft over decades using ancestral methods passed down through generations. Through the group, the women keep alive their traditions, stories, and artistic legacies of their ancestors while infusing each rug with their own unique creative identity.

Central to our ethos is our direct partnership with artisan collectives in Morocco. We ensure that the skilled women who craft each rug receive fair compensation for their work by allowing the women to set their own prices. By fostering these relationships, we preserve the rich cultural heritage of Berber weaving while promoting economic independence and sustainable growth within their communities.
