We're taking our first little steps, so thank you for bearing with us. All orders ship this Friday.

The layer for den-building, puddle-jumping and long afternoons under an old oak tree. Little ones run hot, then cold, then hot again; our gilet keeps their core cosy while their arms stay free to climb.
Throw it over a jumper or pyjamas and off they go. No coat abandoned halfway up the hill. A modern-day heirloom: worn daily, loved wildly and passed on.

  • Temperature-regulating merino for changeable days
  • Ultra-gentle against delicate skin – super-soft Italian merino yarn that we spent two years developing
  • Crafted like the luxury knitwear in your own wardrobe – made in Portugal, with hand-finished seams, soft yet secure enough for sibling after sibling
  • Pairs with our merino beanie and mittens
  • Natural wooden toggle fastening

A cosy cream, Gingham Elderflower is our limited edition, finished with gingham piping like a picnic on the lawn.

The layer for busy days outside: warm at the core, with arms free to explore.

  • The world's softest wool: Italian merino, gentle against delicate skin
  • Easy layering: over a jumper, a vest or pyjamas in seconds
  • Made to match: coordinates with our merino beanie and mittens
  • Made to be handed down: younger siblings tend to claim it long before it's outgrown

We spent two years developing our own merino with a specialist Italian mill, to create the world's softest wool.

  • Two years in the making: developed and refined with our mill until the softness and strength were just right
  • Fine fibres: gentle against the most delicate skin
  • Naturally temperature-regulating: holds warmth in the cold, lets heat escape as things warm up
  • Breathable: comfortable all day, without overheating
  • Lined in 100% cotton: a soft, breathable layer next to the skin

Made in Portugal by a third-generation, family-run babywear maker, trusted by premium and luxury brands for nearly 40 years.

  • Every step under one roof: a fully vertical mill, from yarn and fabric to the finished piece, so nothing leaves their care
  • Made to the strictest baby standard: every baby piece they make meets OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Class I, the toughest level, set for babies
  • Independently audited: ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environmental care, and BSCI and Sedex for fair, safe working conditions
  • European craftsmanship: made to European standards, for the people who make it and the planet

Merino looks after itself more than you'd think: wash less, air more.

  • Finding the right size: see the size guide, and if they're between sizes, size up
  • Air between wears: hang it in fresh air and it comes back feeling fresh, so it rarely needs a full wash
  • When it does: wash at 30°C, inside out, with a gentle liquid wool detergent. No softener, no bleach
  • Drying: reshape while damp and let it dry naturally, away from radiators. Never tumble dry
  • A little bobbling is natural: it's common in the first few wears, and a wool comb lifts it away
  • Before sleep: take merino layers off indoors and before sleep, so they don't overheat
  • Keep away from fire

The details

A passport to the wild: soft Italian merino warmth, made in Portugal, with arms left free for den-building and puddle-jumping. Easy to layer for days that start hot and end cold, so no coat gets abandoned halfway up the hill.

Our Italian Merino

We spent two years developing our own merino with a specialist Italian mill, to create the world’s softest wool. It’s light enough to layer, warm enough for blustery days and gentle against delicate skin, from the first wobbly steps to the school gates.

Made for Layering

The layer for den-building, puddle-jumping and long afternoons outdoors. It keeps their core warm while leaving arms free to climb, dig and explore, and goes over a jumper, a vest or pyjamas in seconds (handy, given how quickly they change their minds about being cold).
