Handpicked for their natural shades of brown, our longhaired Icelandic sheepskins add the perfect Scandinavian accent to your home interiors. Our sheepskins are ethically sourced from Iceland, where the indigenous nomadic Sami people rely on their longhaired flocks as a way of life.

Luxuriously thick and soft to the touch, we hand select only the finest quality to ensure each hide has a luxuriously thick pile with the wool extending over 12cm.

Whether in front of a fire, on the back of a sofa, or beside your bed our rare breed Sheepskins add natural Nordic style to any environment.

Each hide measures approximately 120cm x 90cm.

Our Icelandic wool is exceptional due to its origin from a heritage sheep breed that has thrived in Iceland's harsh climate since Viking times.

These sheep roam freely across the country's hills and valleys during spring and summer, grazing on wild herbs and grasses, which contributes to the unique quality of their fleece.

The unique tanning process protects the dual-layered fleece with its soft undercoat with a longer, protective top layer.

Nature's Miracle Fibre, Wool

Regarded as the world's most natural fibre, wool offers unparalleled sustainability and has been used in homes, furnishings and textiles dating back to 3000 BC.

Wool is entirely natural, breathable, renewable and biodegradable and science is yet to produce a fibre which matches its unique properties. Its ability to wick away moisture helps maintain a fresh and clean home, while its natural crimp makes it incredibly soft on the skin.

Renowned for its exceptional insulation, wool keeps you warm in Winter and cool in Summer, adapting to your body's needs for year round comfort. Its inherent durability ensures it lasts for decades while at the end of its lifecycle wool can be returned to the soil where it naturally decomposes. And so, the beautiful natural cycle of our sheepskin rugs continue.
