Safety: Made for Peace of Mind
Everything we make is designed around the advice of the UK's leading baby safety experts, so you can use it with complete confidence.
Our guidance draws on safety advice from The Lullaby Trust and the NHS.
Where to use your pram liner
Our sheepskin pram liner is designed for daytime use with you present, never for overnight or unsupervised sleep.
✓ Use it
- In your pram, buggy or pushchair seat
- With the harness fastened, every time
- For walks and daytime naps, with you present
- For supervised awake play on the floor
✗ Don't use it
- For overnight or unsupervised sleep
- In a car seat
- Why not in a car seat? Car seats are crash-tested exactly as supplied. Adding anything between your baby and the seat can affect how it performs.
- Using it at home? Lay it on the floor for supervised awake play, or on your lap for cuddles, and stay within arm's reach. If they start to drift off, move them to their own clear, flat sleep space.
- Nodding off on a walk? Babies often do. Keep the harness fastened and check on them often, then settle them in their cot or Moses basket when you're home.
Warm weather
WoolFlo™ helps keep your baby comfortable, but on hot days nothing replaces checking on them yourself.
Our WoolFlo™ ventilation makes our liner 198x more breathable than a standard sheepskin pram liner*, letting heat and moisture escape rather than building up. But no liner, however breathable, can keep a baby cool on its own in very hot weather.
- Check often: feel the back of their neck or their tummy. Hot, sweaty or clammy skin means they're too warm. Cool hands and feet are normal.
- Watch for signs: flushed cheeks, sweating, restlessness or being unusually sleepy.
- If they feel hot: move into the shade, remove a layer, and take the liner out.
- Shade the pram safely: use a clip-on parasol or sunshade. Never cover the pram with a blanket, muslin or cloth, which traps heat and stops air circulating.
- Plan around the heat: stay out of direct sun, especially between 11am and 3pm.
*Compared with an unperforated sheepskin liner. Independently tested.
Fitting checks
A well-fitted liner sits flat and never gets in the way of your pram's harness.
- Harness first: thread every strap through the openings so the harness fastens and tightens exactly as it would without the liner.
- Harness straps: our sheepskin strap covers slip over the shoulder straps only and stay in place with elastic. Never fit them anywhere that stops the buckle closing or the straps adjusting.
- Check before every walk: the liner should lie flat, with no bunching around your baby's face or neck.
- Follow your pram's instructions: some pram brands recommend using only their own accessories, so check your pram's instructions before fitting any liner, ours included.
- Stop if it's damaged: if a seam, opening or strap cover is worn or torn, stop using it and get in touch.

Before first use and care
A quick shake and a check keep your liner clean, soft and safe for years.
- Before first use: give it a good shake and run your hand around the edges and harness openings to remove any loose natural fibres. A little shedding at first is normal for real sheepskin.
- Keep it fresh: shake it out regularly and brush through the fibres.
- Spills: spot clean with a damp cloth.
- Drying: always let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct heat.
- Every sheepskin is unique: small variations in colour, markings and pile are part of its natural character.
Safety for every piece
The same care goes into everything we make, so here's how to use each piece safely.
- Merino pramsuit: made for outings. Take it off once you're indoors, in a warm shop or on public transport so they don't overheat, and change them into lighter clothing for sleep at home.
- Pramsuits and car seats: bulky layers stop a car seat harness fitting closely to your baby. Take the pramsuit off before strapping them in, and add a blanket over the fastened harness if they need warmth.
- Merino gilet: a layer for outdoors. Take it off in warm rooms and always before sleep.
- Merino beanie: perfect for walks and outings. Take hats off indoors and always before sleep, as babies release excess heat through their heads and can overheat if it's covered.
- Merino mittens and booties: check inside regularly for loose threads, which can wrap around tiny fingers and toes, and stop using them if any appear.
- Sheepskin pram gloves: these are for your hands on the handlebar. Never place them where your baby could reach or pull them over their face.
- Muslins: brilliant for feeds and spills. Never drape one over the pram, even for shade, as it traps heat and blocks your view of your baby.
- Sheepskin beanbags: made for children up to the age of 10, for sitting and lounging, not sleeping. Never let a baby sleep on a beanbag, and always supervise young children.
- Every piece: check buttons, poppers and seams regularly, as anything that comes loose could be a choking hazard, and stop using anything that's worn or damaged. Keep all natural fibres away from open fires, candles and heaters.
